Víbora!

This a Tulipa Ruiz's song, a singer and songwriter based in São Paulo that I admire so much, not only for her voice and amazing presence on the stage, but I admire her as a woman, she's strong I once met her in person and it was a magical moment.

Víbora is a kind of snake and this song talks about fake people, people who does not have opinion, people who drag us down.

Last yer I saw her live singing this song with the great rapper Criolo, but I did not know at the time I had a vibora beside me!

All I need!

I love the band Air and I get to know them through the TV show Felicity (cal me tacky and teenager, but this was a JJ Abram's TV show and I love everything he does, writes or produces). Anyways I hit my iPod today Air came along to wake me up!

I have to say here that this video made me smile, it's a stop motion video and I do LOVE stop motion's videos in general.

If you are in town, you need to check this place out, they have two addresses one in Vila Madalena (really cool hood here in SP, full of young and happy people) and one in Moema (cool hood too but more in a fancy way).
They have crochet necklaces and earrings that made me go wow!

The band is just amazing and I just came across this video where Jade Castrinos rocks our socks with her awesome voice.

O Rappa

O Rappa is a Brazlian band from Rio de Janeiro. They have a mix of hip-hop and reggae that I simply adore.

Rappa follows my life since 1996 and what catches my attention every time are the lyrics, always talking about faith, family, friendship, the beach, the ocean and how is good to be a hard worker. They inspire me, day by day.

The song I have chosen to post here is called Mar de Gente, that in a literal translation means sea of people.

Rareform interview with Marc Beauregard!

If you read this blog you know that I simply love folk and surf music in general and I grew up going to the beach, so I'm used to swim and dive but I never felt like surfing, I guess I'm too afraid, I don't know, so the last seven years I've been following this singer, songwriter and surfer I love and I just posted about him, that is Jack Johnson, what happens is that in 2009 another singer, songwriter and surfer caught my attention: Marc Beauregard, so I became a huge fan, I love his energy, his lyrics and he's always so positive, his songs just put a smile in my face, no matter what kind of problem I have, I count on Marc's songs to feel better. 

Since I just came back from the beach and I have all these feelings here alive I decided to post this interview, which is awesome because he mentions my name, as a person he would like to meet, what an honor huh?

Along with the interview I will post this video from Rareform too, that is really well done.

Beach

I grew up going to the beach but some how I turned into a really city girl (woman I must say now that I'm 39)!
Besides I'm the whitest girl alive, I never can get really tanned, I'm just too white. But let's stop talking about me here. I finally went back to the beach - my last time was new years - and I took some really good photos and I would love to share here.
I would like to add that it's winter here in Brazil, the weather is great to be honest around 24 C, but the beach was really empty, but I really loved to have the sea just for me!

Rollercoaster Ride

It's been a while since my last post, I've been cleaning and renewing my bedroom and yesterday was the CDs part, the usual what stays, what goes to the bin, well, besides a Mel C's cd (yes total shame I know) I found - I also found my Whitest Boy Alive's cd and if you read this blog you must know how I love or should I say adore Kings of Convenience and Erlend Øye!
